#KidsNeedKiwanis
The Farmington Rio Del Sol Kiwanis club is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects. We are part of Kiwanis International, an organization serving children in local communities for over 100 years.
We’d love for you to come join us at one of our meetings or a service project.
We meet every Thursday at Noon at No Worries Bar and Grill located at the Farmington Airport, Farmington, NM 87401. Bring your appetite and your energy as we discuss upcoming projects and hear from people in our community.
Projects for Kids
Our club is actively involved in our community helping children in need. More can be found by clicking the Our Projects button below.
Kiwanis Clothes for Kids at Target provides $100/each for school clothes for approximately 300 children.
November each Year

Coats for Kids program provides hundreds of warm winter coats to San Juan County boys and girls.

Scholastic Books for Kids program provides books for every child in a title 1 school in our district.

Kiwanis Shoes for Kids program provides new athletic shoes and socks to children attending Boys and Girls Clubs.

Description
Emmeri Tafoya – serves as a 211 Community Navigator with San Juan United Way. In this role, she connects individuals and families to essential local resources and services. Emmeri works closely with community members facing challenges such as housing instability, utility shut-offs, food insecurity, legal concerns, and crisis situations. She helps them navigate complex systems and ensures they can access the support and assistance they need to achieve greater stability and well-being.
